Klancy was barely old enough to walk when she began making the Opry circuit every Saturday night with her grandmother. Standing in her seat, Klancy would dance and sing her heart out beginning before she was even off the baby bottle. So it is no wonder that Klancy’s love of music blossomed from an early age.

At three, Judith McCarty School of Dance became a weekly destination. Miss Judy, Miss Kathy, Miss Ann, Miss Debbie, Miss Julie and Miss Carla have been a huge part of Klancy’s life, offering not only dance instruction, but instruction in life skills that will carry on throughout the years.

Although Klancy has a love for dance, singing has always been her passion. Karmyn Tyler, Miss Louisiana 1995, became Klancy’s vocal coach at the age of seven. A deep and abiding friendship began instantly -- a pairing of two passionate and dedicated singers -- Karmyn being a wonderful mentor and friend, Klancy looking up to Karmyn for advice and instruction.

Through instruction and determination, at only nine years old, Klancy moved forward and began singing at the Oaklawn Opry in Texarkana. Carol Matthews, Henry Matthews, Milam Albright, and Chip Bricker were instrumental in assisting Klancy’s vocal career -- just to name a few! Her talents have been witnessed by people from all over the Ark-La-Tex, as well as in Branson, Missouri, where she has performed at the 76 Music Hall and had the pleasure of meeting Ed McMahan. Loretta Lynn’s Place, in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, was the site of Klancy’s third place talent contest win.

In addition to her singing career, in 2002, Klancy won the title of Junior Miss Texarkana, and in 2005, the title of Miss Teen Texarkana-Arkansas. She truly enjoyed the experience of representing her hometown in functions throughout the city, as well as competing in the Miss Teen Arkansas pageant, where she placed in the Top Ten, winning a preliminary talent award.

In the summer of 2004, Klancy began working with Greg White on her own CD. With all original music, written by many talented musicians, she has put her heart and soul into this project. Klancy’s hope is to have a future in what she has loved since she was a small child -- singing from her heart, bringing a smile to all who listen.
