Think Pink: Breast Cancer....
You’re Never Too Young
Awareness of what is happening around us everyday seems to be an important part of everyday life. However, many people, whether young or old, concentrate very little on what is happening with their own lives. Growing up in a family that is very close has been a tremendous asset to me. I have had the luxury of loving parents who are great at answering any questions or helping me with any problems that may arise.
I believe that everyone should know about their health, and make a decision to protect their bodies, thereby preventing many diseases that are prevalent in today’s society. By beginning at an early age, they may actually save their bodies from diseases later in life. Only by knowing the early warning signs, can you help yourself.
A recent experience with my aunt brought this to my attention. Having had her yearly mammogram, she knew that something was wrong with her body. After further tests were conducted, it was discovered that she, indeed, had breast cancer. Knowing her own body helped save her life!
By knowing our family medical history and early warning signs, we have an advantage. We should not be afraid to research these important facts, and we should be aware of their value.
